1 DEPARTURE FROM NORTH AMERICA

2 ARRIVE TEL AVIV – JERUSALEM (4
NIGHTS)
You will be met at the airport by your guide and transferred
to Jerusalem for a stay of four nights. An introductory walk
in the Old Quarter will whet your appetite
for the feast of sights to be visited in the next few days.
DAY
3 BETHLEHEM – JERUSALEM
Morning visit to Bethlehem, which features prominently
in both the Old and New Testaments. We will enter the Basilica
of the Nativity and descend to the Grotto
of the Nativity in the lower level of the church.
We return to Jerusalem where our sightseeing includes the
model of Herod’s Jerusalem, the John
F. Kennedy Memorial, En Karem, the
Shrine of the Book to see the Dead
Sea Scrolls, Mt. Zion and Yad
Vashem, an incredible memorial to the Holocaust.

DAY
4 OLD JERUSALEM
We will spend a full day in Old Jerusalem and our
sightseeing will include following the Via Dolorosa,
the route taken by Jesus as he carried his cross to Calvary,
the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Wailing
Wall, the Dome of the Rock, the
Garden of Gethsemane and an ascent of the
Mount of Olives for a view over Jerusalem.

DAY
5 DEAD SEA, QUMRAN, EIN GEDI & MASADA
We will make a full day excursion into the Judean
Desert and to the Dead Sea, the lowest point
on earth. We will continue to Qumran, where
the renowned Dead Sea Scrolls were found in 1947. At Ein
Gedi we will visit an oasis in the arid desert with
abundant pools and waterfalls. The mountaintop Palace and
Fortress of Masada will take your breath
away. If the setting along is not sufficient, the amazing
story of the 960 Zealots who preferred suicide rather than
face enslavery by the Romans will keep you enthralled.
DAY
6 JERICHO - NAZARETH - TIBERIAS - GALILEE
KIBBUTZ (2 NIGHTS)
We will drive to the Galilee stopping at Jericho,
believed to be the most ancient city in the world. Our next
stop is Nazareth, the childhood home of Jesus.
Our sightseeing includes The Basilica of the Annunciation
and Mary's Well. Our day ends at
Tiberius, a former Crusader and Turkish stronghold
as well as an important site of Jewish pilgrimage. We will
stay in a Galilee Kibbutz for the next two nights.
DAY
7 RIVER JORDAN - HAZOR - SAFED - MT.
OF THE BEATITUDES - CAPERNAUM - TAGHBA
We will cross the River Jordan and drive to the Mt.
of Beatitudes. The nearby Church of the Beatitudes
commemorates the Sermon on the Mount. We will continue to
Capernaum, a lakeside village on the shores
of the Sea of Galilee. Capernaum is referred to frequently
in the New Testament as a centre of Jesus' preaching and as
the home of many of his disciples, most notably Peter. We
will visit the Church of the Multiplication
which commemorates the miracle there. It was at this spot
that Jesus delegated the Primacy of the Church to Peter.

DAY
8 GALILEE - HAIFA - MT. CARMEL - MEGIDDO
- CAESAREA - TEL AVIV/JAFFA (1 NIGHT)
We depart Galilee and make our way to Haifa, world centre
of the Bahai faith, we will visit the ornate Bahai
Shrine, whose golden dome is a characteristic landmark.
Our journey takes us past sacred Mount Carmel to Megiddo.
According to biblical traditions ‘Armageddon’
or the final Apocalyptical battle between the forces of good
and evil will take place in Megiddo. We will continue to Caesarea
built by Herod the Great in 20 BC as an official residence
of the Kings. After the destruction of Jerusalem, Caesarea
served as the capital of the Holy Land for almost 500 years.
We will follow the Mediterranean coast to Tel Aviv/Jaffa and
we will enjoy a Farewell Dinner in Old Jaffa.

9 DEPARTURE FROM TEL AVIV
Your enjoyable and rewarding tour will come to an end as your
guide accompanies you to the airport for the return flight
home.
