1 DEPARTURE FROM NORTH AMERICA
Enjoy full meal service on your scheduled wide-bodied flight
to Amsterdam.
DAY
2 AMSTERDAM (3 NIGHTS)
You will be met at the airport by your tour manger/guide who
will accompany you to your hotel in central Amsterdam.
After time to relax we will take a walk through the city of
water. Amsterdam is one of the most important cultural
centers in Europe and is renowned for its great art galleries,
gabled houses, chiming carillons and, calm canals spanned
by a thousand bridges. With over 160 canals, Amsterdam
is justifiably called the `Venice of the North'. We will visit
the Van Gogh Museum, which houses an unrivalled collection
of 200 paintings and 400 drawings by the famous Dutch artist.
We will view the Royal Palace which
built on 13,000 piles and dominates the Dam in the heart of
the city. This evening we will take the Introductory
Boat Tour of Amsterdam’s famous canals.

DAY
3 DAY TRIP TO ALKMAAR AND HAARLEM
This morning we will make the short trip to Alkmaar where
we will visit the world famous Cheese Market where
the cheese makers still dress in traditional costumes.
We will move on to the historical city of Haarlem where your
guide will take you on a Walking Tour including the
Church of St. Bavo, which was constructed between 1390
and 1520 and is famous for its Muller organ which has lured
the likes of Mozart and Handel to Haarlem.

DAY 4
HALF-DAY TRIP TO ZAANSE SCHANS
This morning we will visit Zaanse Schans,
a 17th century Dutch village turned open-air folk museum where
you can see and learn everything Dutch from cheese making
to wooden shoe carving. Returning to Amsterdam in the afternoon
we will pass the town of Zaandijk which has the best collection
of windmills. Next we will visit the Rijksmuseum,
which features works by all the great Dutch painters from
the past including magnificent collections of Rembrandt, Frans
Hals, Vermeer and Rubens.

DAY 5
AMSTERDAM - AALSMEER - THE HAGUE AREA (3 NIGHTS)
We will begin today’s sightseeing by visiting the Aalsmeer
Flower Auction. Nearly half of the flowers exported
from Holland are auctioned off here in six huge auditoriums.
Next we will go to The Hague, known as the
Royal City on the Sea. It is the government center of The
Netherlands and the residence of Queen Beatrix. Our Walking
Tour will take us past the Houses of
Parliament, the Peace Palace and the Mauritshuis.
DAY 6
DAY TRIP TO DELFT
Our day begins with a journey to Delft. Peaceful as a Vermeer
painting (he was born here) and lovely as its porcelain, Delft
is a typically Dutch town with a special soul. After the introductory
Walking Tour of the city center we will visit
the Royal Porcelain Works – Porceleyne
Fles to watch the famous 17th century blue Delftware turn
from clay into art. Delft is certainly one of Holland's most
idyllic places: all cobbled streets, narrow canals, and slender
brick houses with wonderfully ornate architectural bells and
façades.

DAY 7
DAY TRIP TO ROTTERDAM
Rotterdam is the world’s largest port, having been rebuilt
after being bombed flat in World War II. We will view its
towering Euromast before we continue with the Walking
Tour of the City Center and great
pedestrian zone. Our final visit of the day will be to Rotterdam's
Maritime Museum which is entirely devoted
to the port’s history of shipping in the past and present.
DAY 10
DEPARTURE FROM AMSTERDAM
Your enjoyable and rewarding
tour will come to an end as your tour manager/guide accompanies
you to the airport for the return flight home.
