Over 30 Years of Group Travel Experience

Casterbridge was created in 1979 by former educators in Europe intent on building an educational travel company that could deliver a truly cultural and meaningful travel experience. “Travel to Learn – Learn to Travel” soon became our motto, and the name Casterbridge has, in the course of three decades, become synonymous with the highest levels of personal service and touring excellence.

Offices in Britain and North America

Casterbridge’s operations team, head office, and directors are based in Europe, which gives us unparalleled experience and contacts in Europe, as well as an intimate knowledge of the region’s sights, accommodations, and educational opportunities, whether it’s for concert tours, church tours, sports tours, or educational travel.

Equally, the experienced regional tour coordinators located at our US Sales Office in the historic Shenandoah Valley (established in 1988) or in our Canadian Office in Toronto will work in detail with you to design your own customized, private touring program. Our North American coordinators are all specialists in group travel and, as a result, our clients benefit greatly from a level of expertise and personal attention that is unequalled by any other educational travel company.

Continuing To Grow: Royal Recognition

After two decades of continued success for Casterbridge’s educational tours and adult and student group travel programs, the company expanded into performance and musical programs, as well as religious heritage programs. In 1997, these became two separate divisions of our educational travel company: Casterbridge Concert Tours and Casterbridge Church Tours.

By 2002, Casterbridge Tours had expanded so expeditiously, while continuing to provide the very best in educational group travel, that we were awarded the highly prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise. Indeed, the award was presented in person at the Casterbridge Head Office in Dorset, England, by Their Royal Highnesses, Edward and Sophie, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, on 24th March 2003.
