AUSTRALASIA

AUSTRALIA
Australia is unique in every sense. Not only is it the only country that occupies an entire continent but it also contains an almost unrivalled range of attractions. Few cities enjoy such a spectacular location as Sydney and yet within a few hours by air we can visit the vast Australian Outback and one of the World's natural wonders, the Great Barrier Reef. Our tours visit sun-baked deserts where the locals live underground, and the tropical rainforests of the Far North.

Due to the vastness of the country, a coach tour can only cover parts of two territories in a two-three week period. You could therefore combine Sydney and part of New South Wales with Melbourne and Victoria, or drive from Sydney to Brisbane along the Gold Coast. We also offer tours based on internal flights between Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Alice Springs, Cairns and Darwin, which gives groups the option of putting together shorter modules but based in three or four centres.

GREAT CITIES OF THE WORLD

Many groups prefer to have just one base when travelling overseas. We have therefore created a 'Great Cities of the World' tour series that spends extended time in just one major city. This allows an in-depth exploration, which not only includes the major sights and attractions that characterise the destination city but, according to your group's special interest, some of the less well known, which can often be surprise highlights.

When exploring a new city, the location of the hotel is of paramount importance and we always conduct exhaustive research and inspections before selecting the most appropriate hotel according to your budget. From deluxe to budget we have the flexibility to select the hotel most appropriate for your group.

Casterbridge will always design a private tour for your group and we will always provide a custom-designed tour to complement your interests. We can provide the permanent presence of a Casterbridge Tour Manager, which complemented by local guides, ensures that your group receives the maximum educational and cultural benefits.

Your guides will always ensure an excellent level of historical insight and also use your theme as the ideal justification for introducing the local culture. We plan the itineraries with a balance of educational visits, combined with cultural attractions, interspersed with free time for shopping and leisure activities.

As well as an introductory city bus tour, a water-borne exploration is planned wherever possible. A more leisurely boat tour can give a different perspective of the city and offer another view of the local way of life.

Travelling with the locals utilising public transport can be a fun and inexpensive way to travel, depending on the age and fitness of your group members. One or two excursions out of the city are generally included.

We aim to provide a comprehensive cultural and social introduction to the Great Cities of the World listed alongside. If the city your group wishes to visit is not shown, we can work with you to design an itinerary for any city.

To custom design the tour of your choice, call us on 01935 810810 Monday - Friday 9-5.30.
