t Casterbridge Concert Tours, we understand that the selection of the performance venues is the fundamental foundation of a successful touring programme. Our excellent range of venue opportunities allows you to plan and rehearse your most suitable and varied repertoire from a very early stage and offer the peace of mind of having performance arenas that are suitable for your own cultural aims or musical level.

To appreciate the diversity of options that we have at our disposal and identify the most suitable performance arena(s) for your group, please browse the following summary of options. Indeed, we frequently integrate a mix of the options below to provide a culturally diverse experience for our groups.

PRESTIGIOUS SACRED VENUES... We can normally arrange for our groups to perform in the most prestigious sacred and historic venues such as St. Stephen's in Vienna, St. Peter's in Rome, or the National Cathedral in Washington DC. The opportunity to experience the magnificent acoustics and historic auras of such settings can be a highlight for many touring musical groups.

LOCAL OR INTIMATE SACRED VENUES... Many Directors often prefer the opportunity to perform at a combination of prestigious and smaller, more intimate churches. To this end, we have an extensive range of over 500 local contacts worldwide who are interested in hosting overseas music groups. These smaller venues offer the ability to perform a less restrictive sacred repertoire and also the very real possibility of interacting with local people. On a similar note, joint concerts with local choirs are also occasionally possible.

SECULAR VENUES... We firmly believe Casterbridge Concert Tours has established contacts to offer the most extensive range of secular venues of any Concert Tour Operator. For the purposes of clarification, we will define our range of secular venues as follows:

  1. Social - This would include public halls, tourist centres or attractions, town squares, embassies, hotels or clubs.
  2. Schools, Colleges and Academic Institutions - Our extensive selection of contacts with European and English-speaking Schools worldwide, Colleges and Universities is second to none.
  3. Host Choirs, Orchestras and Joint Performances - Performing for and with your international peers is always a highly attractive and rewarding proposition.

COMMUNITY SETTINGS... Hospitals and Homes for the Elderly offer the chance to 'give back' to a body of people who would not otherwise have the privilege of attending a musical performance. Having even one of these options in your programme can be an extremely rewarding experience and offers a distinct and memorable contrast with your other performance venues.

INFORMAL OR IMPROMPTU... Opportunities for impromptu and informal recitals are maximised on all Casterbridge Concert tours. Similarly, formally confirmed busking opportunities often prove to be highly enjoyable options for versatile groups who wish to perform in an informal street setting among the local people.

FESTIVALS... Our database of festivals holds hundreds of possibilities for those Music Directors and performers with a passion for the competition or international interaction.

"I appreciated that the scheduling for our choir tour was carefully and sensibly planned. As a singing ensemble, their awe and delight at singing in the Salzburg Domkirche and St. Florian Monastery Chapel will remain with them forever and has clearly generated a thirst for future returns to Europe. Thank you for a most enjoyable tour - we will never forget this wonderful experience that you provided."
