An
island big enough to lose yourself in, yet small enough
to feel at home;
British, yet located just off the coast of France. An
island of discovery and breathtaking
natural beauty and buzzing with life…this is Jersey.
Unearth the unique history of this independent isle,
meander along golden sweeping bays, or take training
runs in the
rolling sand dunes - Jersey's sports teams are sure
to give you a warm welcome too.
DAY
1 Take the ferry or fly to Jersey, meet your
tour guide and check-in to the superb Merton Hotel with
its own leisure centre and swimming complex (subject
to availability).
DAY
2 Depart by coach to the world-famous Durrell
Wildlife Park/Jersey Zoo for an encounter you will never
forget with the wild animals they are saving from extinction
around the world, including breeding groups of Western
Lowland Gorillas.
This afternoon you will play your first fixture
against a local team.
DAY
3 After breakfast you will be transferred by
coach to the beach, where you will take a unique trip
by a Puddleduck land and water transporter to Elizabeth
Castle. This is an explorer's dream castle, which has
defended Jersey for over 300 years. After your sightseeing
there will be time for shopping and lunch. You may then
have the chance to go
swimming in the hotel pool.
Then transfer for your second fixture later
this afternoon.
DAY
4 Transfer by coach to the Jersey War Tunnels.
The tunnels of Ho8 (Hospital 8) were hewn from sheer
rock by forced labourers from all over Europe and you
will discover the true story of the Occupation through
the diverse experiences of those who lived through it.
Proceed to the nearby Jersey's Living Legend Village
and the island's
number one attraction, the Jersey Experience. This spectacular,
special effects show recreates the story of the island
and its people in an entertaining and informative way.
Free time for lunch in the cafeteria, then there will
be time for go-karting or a putting tournament on the
adventure golf course.
Transfer to your final match.
DAY
5 It is time to say goodbye to Jersey as you
catch your ferry or take the flight back to the UK
