Rome,
one of the most beautiful cities in the world, was the
capital of
the ancient world for nearly 2,000 years. Romes sporting
traditions are proudly
preserved. Without doubt its historical, religious and
artistic heritage is the wealthiest.
The expression “A lifetime is not enough time
to know Rome” may be true, but in a
few days we will try to reveal the highlights combined
with some sporting contests.
DAY
1 Fly from London to Rome. You will be met
by a representative, who will escort you to your hotel.
DAY 2 After breakfast, you will have
a guided visit of the most important Roman monuments
including the Forum and the Colosseum, which is the
symbol of Rome's eternity, where over 50,000 spectators
watched gladiators fight. Free time for lunch. In the
afternoon you will have time to enjoy the heart of Rome:
Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, the
best preserved monument of ancient Rome. Free time for
shopping.
DAY 3 Today You will be taken to Ostia,
the harbour of ancient Rome.
In the afternoon you will play your first match.
DAY 4 This morning we will visit St.
Peter's Square and Basilica. The majesty and size of
St. Peter's Basilica upon entry is unforgettable. It
contains many treasures and masterpieces, including
the famous Pieta by Michelangelo, the tomb of St.Peter
and Bernini's magnificent Baldacchino. Free time for
lunch.
In the afternoon play your second match.
DAY
5 Today we take a full day guided tour to Viterbo,
a beautiful area rich in art and history with its medieval
ancient quarter, piazza and cathedral.
After lunch play a final match in the area.
DAY 6 This morning is free for shopping
or sightseeing before departing to the airport for the
return flight home.
