The
second largest country in the world, Canada is a land
of open spaces and great variety. Each region has its
own special character and unique geography. Vancouver
is spectacularly located with towering mountain peaks
providing a backdrop to the harbour.
DAY
1 Fly to Vancouver, where you will be met at
the airport and transferred to your hotel.
DAYS 2-4 Your sightseeing in the magnificent
city of Vancouver will include Stanley Park, the spectacular
Capilano Suspension Bridge and historic Vancouver, walking
through Gastown and Chinatown.
You will play two matches against local teams.
DAY
5 You will take a spectacular cruise through
the Gulf Islands to Vancouver Island.
Play a match against a team from the island.
DAY
6 You will take the ferry then drive to the
interior of British Columbia and the city of Kelowna.
This evening you will play your fourth match
against a local club side.
DAY
7 You will travel through Glacier National
Park and Yoho National Park before arriving in Banff.
An ideal way to see the stunning scenery is to take
the cable car to Sulphur Mountain.
DAY
8 Today you will visit the birthplace of Canada's
first National Park and the Cave and Basin Centennial
Centre.
DAY
9 We will spend the day exploring and hiking
trails in the National Park before making a short drive
to Calgary.
DAY
10 This morning will be training and practice
on fields at the University of Calgary. Then there is
a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to view the spectacular
Calgary Stampede, which includes bare back horse riding,
thrilling bull
riding and wild horse races.
DAY
11 Today you will play your fifth and final match against
a local team.
In the evening, as a grand finale to the tour, you will
see the Grandstand Show.
DAYS
12-13 Depart this afternoon for your flight
home. Arrive in the UK next morning.
