DAY 1 DEPARTURE LONDON - ARRIVE WASHINGTON DULLES
Enjoy full meal service on your scheduled wide-bodied flight to Washington Dulles Airport. Meet with your bus and driver and transfer to your hotel in Washington.

DAY 2 WASHINGTON
This morning we will take a bus tour with a local guide of one of the most important and exciting cities in the world, Washington DC, seeing the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial and The Capitol Building. It may be possible to tour The White House and the Houses of Congress depending on scheduling and security. Later, explore the Smithsonian Museums, the world’s largest museum complex. Covering subjects from air and space travel to the dinosaurs it consists of 16 museums and galleries.

DAY 3 1700’s WILLIAMSBURG / LATE 1700’S & REVOLUTIONARY WAR - YORKTOWN
This morning we walk in the footsteps of George Washington in Colonial Williamsburg visiting the Royal Governor’s Palace, home to seven governors. Our tour will include the political centre of Virginia - The Capitol. This afternoon’s visit takes us to Yorktown. The year is 1781 and the British surrender to George Washington after a long and grueling battle to thwart their bid for independence. The drama of the American Revolution is charted through the eyes of its protagonists from the beginning of unrest to the adoption of the Constitution and Bill of Rights at the Yorktown Victory Centre. Experience life in the Continental Army Encampment and you will become caught up in the fervour and struggle of the American Revolution.

DAY 4 GETTYSBURG – NEW YORK
Today we take an early morning drive to Gettysburg. Upon arrival we will visit the battleground of Gettysburg, the Visitors Centre and the fascinating museum. In the late afternoon we will drive to New York and transfer to your hotel. After dinner, we will continue to the Empire State Building for a twilight look from the 86th floor observatory over the city that never sleeps.

DAY 5 STATUE OF LIBERTY & MANHATTAN, CENTRAL PARK, 5TH AVENUE
This morning see New York from the water as we take a boat trip past the Financial District to the Statue of Liberty. There is also an opportunity to visit the Ellis Island Immigration Museum which conveys the experiences of the forebears of nearly one in four Americans. After lunch, we will take a guided Walking Tour of Manhattan’s principal sights, with a local expert who will point out many of the architectural wonders and explain the background history of the area. Central Park is as close to nature as one gets in New York, the park affords relief from the noise and congestion of the city. A stroll through the park will find locals jogging, playing ball skating and biking and you can visit the John Lennon memorial 'Strawberry Fields’. After the visit, walk along Madison Avenue which is lined with exclusive stores from Armani to Zegna. Bloomingdale’s flagship is a short walk east and Felissimo is west. The city is a shopper’s paradise: from world-recognised designer labels to the hippest collections from up-and-coming designers to flea market and other outlet bargains. There is the thrill of coming upon something special that isn’t available back home.

DAY 6 UNITED NATIONS, BROOKLYN BRIDGE
Today take a guided tour through the United Nations headquarters and learn how the wheels of international diplomacy work. This afternoon you can walk across the famous Brooklyn Bridge for spectacular views over the city. Dinner will be in the fashionable South Street Seaport district.

DAYS 7/8 DEPARTURE, ARRIVAL LONDON
There is ample time today for further sightseeing and last minute shopping before your enjoyable and rewarding tour ends as your bus takes you to the airport for the return flight home. Your flight lands early the next morning.
