Coach tours

For all our coach tours departing from the UK, we will provide a good quality executive coach fitted with seatbelts and air-conditioning as standard and we aim to use coaches no more than three years old for their reliability. Most coaches have 49 seats (with one kept aside for your tour guide) but we do have access to 53-seater and 72-seater coaches should this prove a more suitable option for your group. However, availability of suitable coaches with more than 49 seats is severely limited and early booking is essential.

Flight tours

For flight groups, we endeavour to source the best possible flight price using scheduled airlines. For instrumental groups with a large number of instruments, this is essential to ensure that the group and all your instruments travel safely. We are happy to look into the possibility of using low-cost, charter airlines such as Ryanair but we would ask you to keep in mind that these airlines do not publish their guaranteed airfares until much later than the scheduled airlines and it is also often not possible to book seats far in advance. It can also be difficult to book enough seats on one flight for a group of this size and a charter airline may only be able to offer you seats if the group were to split up. This can have important consequences for your group which you need to be aware of and, whilst we understand the need to keep prices as low as possible, we also believe it is just as important to ensure that your tour arrangements are practical for your group.

Regardless of airline or destination, please note that all airfares and seat availability are subject to confirmation by the airline and most airlines do not confirm fares any earlier than eleven months prior to departure date.

Transportation of instruments

All our tour prices are based on luggage and instruments being transported with the group on your coach. We will ask you to provide us with a list of instruments you intend to take on tour so that we can check to ensure that all equipment can fitted onto your coach or advise you to hire a trailer if necessary. Should you require additional transportation for instruments in the form of a trailer or even a van, we would be happy to arrange this for you and will advise you in good time of any supplements that may be incurred.

We also have a great deal of experience in transporting instruments by air and can advise you in advance of any excess baggage charges that may be incurred. In some cases, it may prove more cost-effective to hire instruments in your chosen destination rather than pay excess baggage charges to take your own instruments. We have contacts with a number instrumental rental firms in certain destinations and can offer assistance with instrument hire where necessary.

For all groups taking instruments on flight tours, we strongly advise that instruments are transported in hard flight cases in order to prevent damage caused by baggage handling in airports.
